My name is Maciej Richter. I am an international UIMLA mountain guide (Union of International Mountain Leader Associations), a member n°1568 of the Spanish association of mountain guides AEGM (Asociación Española de Guías de Montaña).

I live in Gran Canaria since 2006, where I organize one-day hiking trips. The contact with nature and the presence in the natural environment have always been my passion. This is why I was part of a scouts’ unit as a child, and hence my love for mountains and sailing (I am also a sailing instructor).

As a long-time resident of Gran Canaria, I have gained a lot of knowledge not only about the Canarian flora and fauna, but also its infrastructure, hotels and the traditions of the island’s residents.

I'm an open person and this quality helps me in establishing good relations with people and in the spread of important facts, interesting stories and all that is worth knowing about the island.
